3.5 Months – Roll over stomach to back

4.75 Months – Creeps across the room

5.5 Months – Pulling himself up (and falling over a lot)

6 Months – Crawls like a champ;  Bottom two teeth (1 & 2) broke through

6.5 Month – Stands long time, holding with one hand

7 Month – Sits and kneels   (still not the greatest sitter in the world, he would rather be standing up)

7.25 Month – Sits unsupported, cruises along furniture

7.5 Month – Top 2 teeth (3 & 4) broke through

7.75 Month – Stands unsupported (until he tries to jump).   “Walks” around pushing his toys.

8.5 Month – First steps; Two more top teeth (5 & 6) broke through

9.0 Month – Up to 10 steps; Babbling; Loves to watch planes fly overhead

9.5 Month – Two more bottom teeth, (7 & 8);   Back molars starting to come in; Claps hands

9.75 Month – Plays “So Big”, Puts hand to mouth to make Indian sound

10.0 Month – Doing much better walking around;  Stacks blocks

10.25 Month – Walks; Picks up rocks and puts them in shape sorter;  Gives items to mommy when requested

10.5 Month – Shakes hands, Responds to “How does a cow go?” trying to moo

10.75 Month – Shakes booty

11.5 Month – Sit, lay down, roll over!!!

12 Months – 1st Molar (9th tooth) came in, Walks backwards

12.5 Month – 2nd Molar (10th tooth)

13.25 Month – 3rd Molar (11th tooth) breaking through, exaggerated blinks, throws his ball with a lot more control, loves to dance, finally sleeping through the night (most anyway), feeds himself from fork after food it put on for him, loves to self feed bananas, carrot sticks, beans, etc

13.5 Month – 4th Molar (12th tooth)

14 Months – Loves to climb up and down the couch, chair, and step stool.   Says ” Da-da”, “Uh-oh!!!”

14.5 Months – Says “Mama”

15 Months – Turns in a circle (from hokey-pokey), uses sign language for ‘drink’, ‘more’, ‘apple’, ‘banana’, ‘nursing’, ‘dog’, ‘hot’.    Apple = up-pple   Banana = nana  Teeth = teeeeeeettt  Peach = “Puh”.   Decent at catching balls, definitely right dominate for throwing/kicking, loves the basketball hoop.   Says “Ball”, “‘Cheerios”, “Apple”, “Nana”, “Boom boom boom”

17.5 Months – Uses many different words.   Will repeat most 1-2 syllable word pretty well.   First sentence (and first group of three syllables in a row) “Go Daddy!!!!!!”.  Prefers drinking from regular cup over sippy cup.   Self feeds with fork and spoon (assuming the soup is thick).

18.25 Months – First pee-pee on the potty.

18.5 Months – First poop on the potty.

20.25 Months – Bottom two second molars (13th and 14th tooth) broke through.  First ear infection.   Likes to jump from couch to ottoman and back.   Will repeat almost anything.   Reads along with books repeating 2-3 words at a time.   “Reads” (names pictures) in a 1 word picture book.   Anticipates words in books before you read them.

21.25 Months – Bottom right molar finished breaking through, followed immediately by bottom left.   Been quite a miserable week for all.

22 Months – Had a stomach virus – yuck.   Will sometimes play quietly by himself for up to 2 hours.  Loves to jump from the coffee table onto the couch.  Knows 100+ words.  Uses 3-5 word sentences.  Can walk down the steps without holding railing.

23 Months – Top two molars (15th and 16th tooth).   Pees on the potty 2-3 times a day if he is put on it.  Almost weaned.

24 Months – Has been ‘breaking into song’, singing his ABC’s, twinkle twinkle little start, “attempts” Old MacDonald, etc.   Memorizes lines from books which makes story time more fun.

25 Months – Finally named his puppies “Jacob and Jonathan”. – Favorite things to do: be chased around dining room, hide and seek where you jump out and scare him, play basketball, long walks outside.

27 Months – First short haircut.   Pees all day on the potty, still waiting for poop.

29 Months -  Loves riding tricycle.   Finally moved the car seat to forward facing.  Loves to do “projects” – anything that involves scissors and/or glue.

31.5 Months – Finally completely potty trained.

34 Months – Rides bike with training wheels.

35 Months – Can write many of the letters.  Can write Ian, Mia, Mom ,  and Dad and usually even spells them right.

41 Months – Can add using his fingers (3+2, 4+1, etc).  Knows phone number and address.   Counts to 100 with minimal assistance.

48 Months – Slammed fingertip in car door.  Tries to color and finally tries to fill in the shapes.   Loves to do anything that Mia does.

50 Months – Learned to ride bike without training wheels.

51 Months – Getting good at hitting baseballs.

57 Months – Likes to make mommy go running… by following her on the bike.   Drawing with more of a purpose.  ”Writes” a few sentence stories (if someone spells the words for him).

4.75 yrs – Started learning Italian.  Can count to 100 with some coaching.

5 yrs – Been learning phonics sounds and can sound out 2-3 letter words that use short vowel sounds.

5.4 Months – Learning how to do wheelies.   Loves building ramps for his bike.
